Written by Childwall. Posted in Childwall newsletter, General

On Friday 21st March Pre – School children had a mini Sports Day to join in with the fun of Sports Relief. Before they began we had to do some warm up exercises they then  did an obstacle course in our new garden weaving in and out of the play equipment. Finally to end they had  an egg and spoon race to test there balance. The children tried very hard not to drop their eggs. Some of the children got gold medals which they showed off with pride. Even the staff joined in, although some of them cheated so were disqualified!! The children had a fun afternoon and were all ready for bed by the time their Mummy’s, daddy’s and grandparents picked them up from nursery

On Monday 10th March, Rachel the garden teacher came in to help make our digging and gardening area look beautiful. The children learnt about planting and growing and planted some onions, green beans and potatoes. They also planted some sunflower seeds and are excited to see if they have grown by the next time Rachel comes to Childwall. We are excited to be planting a herb garden in the next few weeks where the children will be able to smell and taste what they have grown.

Guess who turned up at our door today?…………….. Daisy and Lottie the loveable goats, Dorothy the lop eared rabbit, Simber the cuddly guinea pig, Donald and Daffy the quacking ducks and Murial and Molly the fuzzy sheep. They came and had a play in our garden with us and we were able to feed them, stroke them and hear all about them. Everyone loved seeing them, even the babies who came out for a sneaky peak. Come and visit us again.
