Busy’s Trip to Acorn Farm

Written by Aigburth. Posted in Uncategorized

What a brilliant morning our busy bees have had at Acorn Farm! They got dressed in their waterproof’s and wellies and had a splashing time! They fed the goats, chickens and sheep and laughed a lot at the big pig rolling in the mud! They then played on the tractor and had fun splashing in the puddles before finishing their morning in the gift shop! They cant wait for their next visit.

Today a group of our worker bee’s had a fantastic trip to the art gallery! They explored some magnificent art work such as statues, paintings and even beautiful clothes and this inspired them to create some brilliant work of their own, I think we may have a few mini Van Gough’s in the making!

Some of the Worker Bees children had a lovely afternoon at Rachel’s allotment. She showed us all of the things she has been growing and she let us water some of her plants too. We found a frog in the pond, he was very big! She showed us some scarecrows which help protect her vegetables so that they can grow. She let us take some rhubarb back to nursery so that we can try some with custard! Thank you for a lovely afternoon Rachel.

We have been having fun at Forest School making muddy faces on the trees. We added water to the soil, mixed it together and put it on the trees. We added sticks and leaves for the facial features. We hope they are still there when we go back next week!

Busy’s Butterflies

Our Busy Bee’s children have been eagerly awaiting for their caterpillars to turn in to beautiful butterflies and it has finally happened. Tina and some of the children even had a little hold of them before they flew away to find a new home! We are going to be looking for them every time we go in to our garden to say “hello”!
