The busy bee children went on a trip to Speke Hall. They had great fun exploring the park, we really enjoyed the swings and climbing frames. We brought a pack lunch with us and we enjoyed sitting on the picnic tables having a rest and making our tummies full, for more walks around Speke hall.
Our pre-school children went Honey Pot Childwall nursery. They had lots of fun playing in the garden cycling on the bikes, using the climbing frame and planting seeds to create beautiful flowers. The children enjoyed experimenting in the art area making lovely photos to bring back to nursery. We all enjoyed eating a beautiful lunch that was made for us and having a nice glass of milk. The children enjoyed meeting the other children and staff. We had lots of playing in Childwall.

Last Friday, Honey Pot Garston hosted a stay and play session to celebrate Fathers Day. Children were able to invite a Dad, Grandad or Uncle in to nursery to take part in this session. We had a fantastic turn out and all of the children and their family members had a great time. They had fun in the sand, the water and the mud kitchen. They played on the trikes, took part in story time and teamed up to play some physical games such as football and basket ball. It was a fun filled afternoon and we cant wait for the next one!
The children in busy bees had lots of fun going to the park – while they were there they enjoyed feeding the ducks, playing on the park with the swings, and slides and eating some yummy ice-cream
The children had lots of fun celebrating Father’s day with their dads at nursery. They were invited to “dads come to planting” where all the children planted some seeds and help to decorate their plant pots with their Daddies.
The pre-school children had lots of fun taking a trip to the allotments. They were able to explore the different plants and vegetables and also look at the tiny tadpoles in the pond
children and staff at Honey Pot Garston, held a fundraising event for the victims of the Manchester Terror Attacks. It was important for us to do this as it is a city very close to our own! The children and staff dressed as Bee’s or wore yellow and black to symbolise the bee as this symbol represents Manchester. During the day the children carried out lots of Bee themed activities and even participated in some black and yellow messy play. We held a raffle and hosted a cake sale and one of our parents made some fantastic Bumble Bee cakes. It was a very successful day and together we raised £150.00.
This week the children have been learning how to stay safe. The staff have carried out a variety of activities with the children covering different elements of safety. The children learned about road safety and used our track area in the garden to practice crossing the road safely at the Zebra Crossing. It was also very apt to cover sun safety, so the children were learning about the importance of wearing sun hats and sun cream when outdoors. The children even helped to apply their own suncream!
