A Royal Birthday

Written by Aigburth. Posted in General

We celebrated the Queen’s birthday in nursery recently. All of the children came to nursery in their finest outfits fit for royalty!! We learnt about the royal family and made birthday cards for the Queen & we finished the day off with afternoon tea in the garden with some yummy scones & sandwiches.

Busy Bees have fun in the sunshine!

Some of our Busy Bees children certainly made the most of the warm weather recently! We decided to take our Jumping Jacks session outside and use the huge parachute! We also enjoyed a lovely visit to the prom and the children loved spotting the boats on the water! Busy Bees also enjoyed using our paddling pools where we used our new water animals and had lots of fun splashing and paddling. They even made sure our plants in the garden were watered as it was very hot!

Worker Bees Go For a Stroll!

Some of our Worker Bees children enjoyed a lovely walk in our local area. They braved the wind to visit the prom and got to explore the play area and some of the children also practiced their balancing skills! On the walk back to nursery, they visited the train station and talked about how many people got on and off the trains!! Joshua also spotted that they had walked past the road sign that said Mersey road!!

Easter Bonnet Parade & Egg Hunt

Written by Aigburth. Posted in General

We all had an ‘eggcellent’ time in nursery parading our bonnets and hunting for eggs! There were some fabulous bonnets made, including a dinosaur themed bonnet and some even included flashing lights. Some of our children made their own Easter baskets ready for our egg hunt & our lovely cook Donna made us some fabulous Easter themed cakes for our pudding. Some of our parents joined us for our egg hunt and the children did an excellent job of finding lot of eggs, even those that were hidden in the trickiest of places!
